Community First Aid and CPR
When a medical emergency occurs, the actions taken in the first few minutes can mean the difference between life and death. Lifeline Foundation’s Community First Aid and CPR initiative empowers ordinary citizens with the knowledge and confidence to provide immediate assistance until professional help arrives.
In 2017, Lifeline Foundation launched “Vadodara: A Smart City, A CPR City”—a first-of-its-kind community initiative aimed at creating a culture of lifesaving response among citizens. The programme focuses on training members of the community in bystander CPR and First Aid, enabling them to respond effectively during medical emergencies and accidents.
To date, Lifeline Foundation has trained 18,663 citizens including students, teachers, homemakers, professionals, municipal staff, emergency responders, law enforcement personnel, NGO workers and public transport providers in Community First Aid and CPR. This growing network of trained citizens is helping build safer and more resilient communities.
Through practical demonstrations, hands-on skill stations and simulation-based learning, participants gain the confidence to act when every second counts.
